- Abstract
- In this article, a novel ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with band-stop characteristic is proposed. The UWB characteristic of the proposed antenna is achieved by adopting two spiral elements. By attaching two L-shaped stubs along the microstrip feed line, the band-stop performance can be achieved. The designed antenna has a small size and operates across the frequency range from 3.17 to over 11 GHz to meet a 10-dB return loss requirement while providing band-stop performance in the frequency band from 5.14 to 5.96 GHz. Measured results reveal that the proposed antenna has good radiation performance and is suitable for UWB applications.
