염증성 장질환의 진단 Tip

Abstract

염증성장질환의 진단에 내시경 검사는 매우 중요하다. 내시경 검사는 질병의 진단 뿐 아니라 이미 진단된 상태에서 경과를 관찰하거나, 병변의 범위와 중증도를 판단하는데, 합병증 유무를 판단하는데, 암발생 유무를 확인하는데 중요하다. 따라서 임상의는 염증성장질환을 진단하는데 필요한 임상 소견과 내시경 소견을 이해하여야 하며 다양한 경우를 고려해야 한다.

The incidence and prevalence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in Korea and Asian countries is rapidly rising. There are no specific diagnostic tools for this malady and the diagnosis of IBD is based on the clinical, radiologic, endoscopic, pathologic findings. Endoscopy plays an important role for the diagnosis, follow-up, cancer surveillance and therapeutic interventions for IBD. This article reviews the utility of endoscopy for making the diagnosis of IBD and the key points of observation during the endoscopic procedures.
