- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze two types of dance major students' goal-orientation, assignment-orientedness and self-orientedness, and determine relationships, between their goal-orientedness and perceived sense of freedom, so that it can help them resolve any potential problem in exerting their own abilities amid competitions with others, and provide a basic reference material for their better artistic ability. Out of all 200 students, total 195 participated in a questionnaire survey hereof. But total 160 questionnaire sheets were used for final data analysis, except 35 questionnaire sheets with some invalid or incomplete answers. The data collected were individually input in computer, and were analyzed through standard multiple regression analysis using SPSS 14.0 for Window. As a result, this study came to the following conclusions: First, it was found that goal-orientedness was associated with perceived sense of freedom. Second, it was found that self-orientedness was associated with perceived sense of freedom.
