- Abstract
- The dust problems are clearly connected with plasma technologies such as microelectronic etching or sputtering processes. In this work, the influence of charged dust particles on plasma surface waves propagating on the interface between a vacuum (or dielectric) and a plasma is investigated by employing Vlasov-Maxwell equations. The dust particles are assumed to be cold, but the plasmas are described by using a Lorentzian distribution function. The result shows that, in the long wavelength limit, both dust-acoustic (DA) and dusk ion-acoustic (DIA) surface waves can be slowed by decreasing the spectral index kappa, which indicates the degree of nonthermality of the plasma distribution. Some other interesting results are provided in this work.
