- Abstract
- This paper develops the finite element model of a flexible hard disk drive(HDD) composed of the spinning disk-spindle system with the fluid dynamic bearings(FDBs), the head-suspension-actuator with pivot bearings and air bearings, and the base plate with complicated geometry to investigate the shock response by using the finite element method(FEM) and the mode superposition.
