- Abstract
- A quantum-state encoding scheme that transfers a quantum state from one system to another is proposed for a quantum interface. The scheme is based on a swap operation, a nonlocal operation, which exchanges the quantum states of two systems. The scheme is applied to systems in the same dimension and in different dimensions. In case of different dimensions, the swap operation does not work, so it must be modified. We show that the present scheme is even more efficient than quantum teleportation in using resources.
