- Abstract
- The magnetic and electronic properties of manganese-diffused beta-SiC(100) was investigated using the ab initio pseudopotential plane wave method. It is found that SiC(100):Mn shows stable ferromagnetism. The total magnetic moment of SiC(100):Mn depends on the substitution layer. The SiC(100):Mn-p(2 x 1)-1st slab is predicted to have a half-metallic property and stable ferromagnetism with 3 AB magnetic moments.
