- Abstract
- Based on leisure facilitator model(Raymore, 2002), this study examines whether leisure facilitators can influence on the leisure participation in the circumstance of five-day classweek system in Korea. According to the Raymore’s suggestion, facilitators to leisure are factors that are perceived or experienced by individuals to promote the formation of leisure preference and encourage participation. The result shows that intrapersonal facilitators and interpersonal facilitators promote leisure participation but structural facilitators do not. Structural facilitators(for example, time, leisure programs in school and local community) might be acted as constraints to leisure participation. Some improvements for a successful five-day classweek system are suggested.
