- Abstract
- This paper proposes an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assisted integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system. The proposed UAV ISAC system integrates radar and wireless communication for sensing the propagation environment and communicating simultaneously with multiple users. By combining information from the radar and the multiple users channel state information, the UAV predicts blockages in the radio propagation environment. A joint design of the transmit beamforming vectors of the UAV and the radar signal is proposed to improve the communication rate. To this end, we introduced a tade-off factor to balance the performance of sensing and communications. The simulation results demonstrate that the UAV assisted blockage prediction can improve the performance of the ISAC systems.
