- Abstract
- This paper presents the rotor optimization to improve the motor efficiency for air ventilation system in railway station. SynRM creates a salient ratio through a barrier inside the rotor, and electrical characteristics can be improved through magnitude of this ratio. However, depending on the location and shape of the barrier, electromagnetic output characteristic(torque, efficiency, and ripple) may change due to saturation level and permeance variance even though the salient ratio is the same. Therefore, in this paper, design variable capable of affecting saturation and permeance variance such as the position of the barrier and the salient ratio is analyzed, and the optimal shape that can obtain the best output under the constraint condition is derived through the RSM(Response Surface Method). Finally, the validity of this study was verified through FEA simulation and experiment.
