- Abstract
- A polarization reconfigurable textile patch antenna for wearable internet of things (IoT) applications is suggested. PIN diodes were applied on the truncations of the suggested patch antenna in order to provide three reconfigurable polarizations. The antenna covers 2.4-GHz industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) band and has an average gain of 5.96 dBi among three polarizations. For practical integration with wearable garments, all elements of the antenna are constructed with fabric materials. Furthermore, overall performance of the antenna is analyzed on body-mimicking phantom for realizing a wearable environment.
