Abstract
As use of 3D scanning cases increasing in field of architecture, technology of architecture in Korea appears the movement of 4th industrial revolution through BIM. Therefore, study of point cloud data through laser scanning may assist utilization of BIM. Nowadays, multi-curve layers and complexity of 2D footprints are moving on to 3D plans for convenience and simplicity of progress on architectural planning. Point cloud data is a key Data on various fields. Laser scanning technique can mitigate the error rates between real model and point cloud data model. As so, the purposes of this study is reviewing the literal materials on synthesis of BIM and point could data to analyze the potential of adaptation to 3D scanning in BIM
