청소년의 자아정체감이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향: 공동체의식을 통한 매개효과

Abstract

목적 본 연구는 청소년의 자아정체감과 삶의 만족도 사이의 관계에서 공동체 의식의 매개효과를 검증하여 청소년의 교육상담의 실천적 함의를 모색하는 것이 그 목적이다. 방법 이런 목적 달성을 위해 본 연구에서는 한국청소년정책연구원의 ‘한국 아동⋅청소년 패널조사(2010)의 7차년도 1,979명을연구대상으로 선정하고, 주요 해당 변인들 간의 기술 통계와 상관분석을 하였다. SPSS Process Macro를 활용하여 매개효과를확인하였고, SPSS Process Macro의 부트스트래핑 실행으로 매개효과 유의성을 확인하였다. 결과 이 연구결과를 요약하자면, 자아정체감과 삶의 만족도의 관계, 자아정체감과 공동체의식의 관계, 공동체 의식과 삶의 만족도의 관계는 유의미한 정적관계를 나타냈다. 또한, 자아정체감과 삶의 만족도의 관계에서 공동체 의식의 매개효과가 유의미하게 나타났다. 이는 청소년의 자아정체감이 삶의 만족도에 직접적인 영향을 미칠뿐만 아니라 공동체의식을 매개로 간접적인 영향을 미치고있음을 의미한다. 결론 이 결과를 근거로 청소년의 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위해서 자아정체감의 확립과 공동체 의식을 높일 수 있는 교육상담의 실천적효과를 위한 전략적 개입의 수립이 필요함을 시사한다.

Objectives This study aims to investigate the mediating effect of the sense of community on the relationship between adolescents' self-identity and life satisfaction, and to explore practical implications for educational counseling for adolescents. Methods For this study, data from the 7th year of the ‘Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (2010)’ by the National Youth Policy Institute of Korea was used, with a sample size of 1,979 participants. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were conducted for the main relevant variables. The mediating effect was examined using SPSS Process Macro, and the significance of the mediating effect was confirmed through running bootstrapping in SPSS Process Macro. Results The study's findings reveal significant positive correlations between self-identity and life satisfaction, between self-identity and the sense of community, and between the sense of community and life satisfaction. Moreover, the sense of community significantly mediates the relationship between self-identity and life satisfaction, implying that adolescents' self-identity influences their life satisfaction both directly and indirectly through the sense of community. Conclusions Based on these results, it is suggested that strategic interventions in educational counseling are necessary to establish self-identity and enhance the sense of community among adolescents to improve their life satisfaction.
