관광자의 교통수단 결정요인 분석 - 국내 관광여행을 중심으로 -

Abstract

이 연구는 지역관광 활성화 정책적 환경 및 지속가능한 관광교통이라는 관점에서 관광 활동에 초점을 맞춰 관광자의 교통수단에 대한 의사결정 과정을 탐구하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 특히, 관광자가 이용하는 교통수단을 분석하여 대중교통 이용에 대한 근본적인 선호도, 인식, 잠재적 장벽을 밝혀 보다 지속가능한 교통수단을 선택하도록 장려하였다. 연구 결과는 전체여행, 관광의 경우, 비관광의 경우 등 세 가지로 나누어 분석하였으며, 교통수단의 결정요인과 관련하여 숙박일수와 숙박여부, 2인 이상 단체여행 여부와 일행 수는 각각 서로 매우 높은 상관관계를 가진다. 관광의 경우 연간 여행경험이 많은 여행자들이 대중교통을 주로 이용하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 숙박여행을 가거나 여행기간이 길어질수록 자가교통수단을 이용할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 관광여행에서 단체여행, 일행과의 관계가 연인/친구, 동료가 일행인 여행일수록 대중교통을 이용할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 관광여행에서 주말이나 공휴일에 가는 여행보다는 주중여행을 가는 여행자들이 대중교통을 더 많이 이용하는 것으로 나타났다.

This study investigates the decision-making process of tourists regarding transportation, with a focus on tourism activities from the perspective of the local tourism policy environment and sustainable tourism transportation. By analyzing the means of transportation used by tourists, the study reveals fundamental preferences, perceptions, and potential barriers to using public transportation. The results were categorized into three areas: total travel, tourism-related travel, and non-tourism travel. Key determinants of transport choice included length of stay, whether it was an overnight stay, group travel (especially groups of two or more), and the size of the travel group, all of which showed a significant correlation with transport choice. Tourists who travel frequently each year are more likely to use public transportation, while those who travel for longer periods or stay overnight tend to prefer private transport. The study also found that group trips, particularly with partners, friends, colleagues, or larger groups, are more likely to involve the use of public transport. Additionally, it was discovered that tourists traveling on weekdays are more inclined to use public transport than those traveling on weekends or holidays.
