중학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 SNS 중독 경향성의 관계: 사회부과 완벽주의와 사회비교 경향성의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구는 중학생 대상으로 부모의 심리적 통제와 SNS 중독 경향성 간의 관계에서 사회부과 완벽주의와 사회비교 경향성의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 전국 중학생 670명을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하여 유효응답에 해당하는 총 665명의 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 심리적 통제, 사회부과 완벽주의, 사회비교 경향성, SNS 중독 경향성은 서로 각각 유의미한 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 둘째, 부모의 심리적 통제와 SNS 중독 경향성의 관계에서 사회부과 완벽주의의 매개효과는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모의 심리적 통제와 SNS 중독 경향성의 관계에서 사회부과 완벽주의와 사회비교 경향성의 순차적 매개효과가 유의하게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 SNS 중독 경향성을 보이는 중학생 상담에 관한 시사점을 제시하였고 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구의 방향을 논하였다.

This study examined the mediating effects of socially prescribed perfectionism and social comparison orientation in the relationship between parental psychological control and SNS addiction tendency among middle school students. The survey was conducted with 670 middle school students enrolled in middle schools and the responses from a total of 665 students were used in data analysis. The main results were as follows. First, all variables, including parental psychological control, socially prescribed perfectionism, social comparison orientation, and SNS addiction tendency, significantly correlated with each other. Second, socially prescribed perfectionism did not mediate the relationship between parental psychological control and SNS addiction tendency was not significant. Third, socially prescribed perfectionism and social comparison orientation sequentially mediated the relationship between parental psychological control and SNS addiction tendency. Based on these results, implications for counseling middle school students, who have a tendency of SNS addiction, were presented, as well as directions for future studies along with the limitations of this study.
