초등학교 고학년의 자아존중감과 미디어기기 중독의 관계: 전반적 행복감과 집행기능곤란의 순차적 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구는 초등학교 고학년의 자아존중감과 미디어기기 중독의 관계에서 전반적 행복감과 집행기능 곤란의 순차적 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구대상은 한국아동패널(PSKC) 13차년도(2020년) 조사에 참여한 초등학교 6학년 아동 1,355명과 어머니이며, SPSS Statistics 22와 SPSS PROCESS Macro 3.5를 사용해 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동기 자아존중감과 미디어기기 중독의 관계에서 전반적 행복감의 매개역할이 확인되었다. 둘째, 아동기 자아존중감과 미디어기기 중독의 관계에서 집행기능 곤란의 매개역할이 확인되었다. 셋째, 아동기 자아존중감과 미디어기기 중독 간의 관계에서 전반적 행복감과 집행기능 곤란의 순차적 매개효과가 확인되었다. 또한, 본 연구의 시사점과 의의를 제시하였고, 제한점 및 후속연구의 제언을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the role of happiness and executive function difficulty in the relationship between self-esteem and media device addiction in upper-grade elementary school students. Data were obtained from the 13th(2020) Panel Study on Korean Children(PSKC). The participants of this study were 1,355 sixth-grade elementary school students and their mothers. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and PROCESS Macro. The main results are summarized as follows. First, happiness had a significant mediating effect on the relationship between self-esteem and media device addiction. Second, executive function difficulty had a significant mediating effect on the relationship between self-esteem and media device addiction. Third, happiness and executive function difficulty sequentially mediated the relationship between self-esteem and media device addiction. The implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
