중앙아시아에서의 선교 상황화 담론과 지역학과의 관계 - 카자흐스탄을 중심으로

Abstract

이 논고는 선교 상황화는 현지의 모든 사회적 모습, 행동 관습, 종교적 형태와도 결부되어 구성되는 영역을 포괄한다는 전제 하에 기술되었다. 이러한 관점에서 중앙아시아 국가들에서 일어나는 여러 종교적 행위, 사회적 관습도 상황화에 포함될 수 있다. 카자흐스탄 지역연구를 통해서 본다면, 이 지역은 종교적으로는 이슬람이지만, 샤머니즘적 자연신 요소가 매우 강해 중동 아랍, 인도네시아의 경우와도 그 성격을 달리한다. 즉 카자흐스탄의 복음적 상황화는 종교적 성격, 자연신 특성, 샤머니즘적 형태 등에 대한 다양한 영역을 잘 이해한다면 더 쉽게 복음적 상황화가 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 이러한 측면에서 선교 대상 국가, 혹은 선교 대상 민족에 대한 선교 상황화 연구는 매우 중요한 선교 전략이 될 수 있다고 사료된다. 이 글은 그러한 관점을 바탕으로 중앙아시아 중에서도 카자흐스탄을 중심으로 제정러시아, 소련 시기, 그리고 현재의 이 국가의 종합적 상황과 이슬람 요소 등 종교성을 중심으로 분석하고자 했다. 이 글은 전체적으로 카자흐스탄 지역학을 통해 카자흐스탄 지역에 선교 접근 전략을 모색하고자 하는 시도로 연구되었다. 필자는 선교 대상 지역과 민족에 대한 선교 전략 연구는 한걸음씩 연구가 지속적으로 진행될 필요성이 있다는 점을 제시하고자 한다.

This paper was written under the premise that missionary contextualization encompasses an area that is comprised of all local social aspects, behavioral customs, and religious forms. From this perspective, various religious practices and social customs occurring in Central Asian countries can also be included in the contextualization. Looking at Kazakhstan through regional research, although this region is religiously Islamic, it has very strong shamanistic nature god elements, making it different from the Arab Middle East and Indonesia. In other words, it is judged that evangelical contextualization in Kazakhstan can be accomplished more easily if various areas such as religious nature, nature god characteristics, and shamanistic forms are well understood. In this respect, it is believed that missionary contextualization research on missionary target countries or missionary target peoples can be a very important missionary strategy. Based on that perspective, this article attempted to analyze religion, including the comprehensive situation and Islamic elements of Central Asia, focusing on Kazakhstan, during the Tsarist Russia, the Soviet Union, and the current state. This study was conducted as an attempt to find a missionary approach strategy to the Kazakh region through Kazakh regional studies. The author would like to suggest that research on missionary strategies for mission target regions and peoples needs to be continuously conducted step by step.
