투어리스티피케이션에 대한 지역민과 관광객의 인식차이 - 관광영향지각과 관광태도를 중심으로 -

Abstract

투어리스티피케이션은 관광으로 인한 젠트리피케이션 현상이다. 그간 대부분의 선행연구들은 관광영향과 개발에 대한 지역주민의 태도에 중점을 두어왔으며, 지역민과 관광객을 갈등구도로 바라보았다. 반면, 두 주체는 해당지역에서 사회·문화·경제적 관점에서 여러 활동과 감정을 공유한다는 기존 연구를 기반으로 관광객의 관점까지 확장하여 바라볼 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 투어리스티피케이션 현상이 발생한 이화벽화마을을 중심으로 지역민과 관광객의 관광영향지각과 관광태도의 차이, 관광영향지각과 관광태도의 영향관계를 검증하고자 하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 지역민과 관광객간 관광영향지각 중 경제적 관광영향지각, 사회문화적 관광영향지각, 환경적 관광영향지각에서 변수에서 집단간 차이를 나타냈다. 둘째, 지역민과 관광객간 관광태도의 차이에서는 일상생활의 관광지화에 지지한다는 변수에 대해서만 지역민이 관광객보다 상대적으로 높은 값을 나타내며 상호 간 차이를 나타냈다. 셋째, 지역민의 경우 긍정적 사회문화적 관광영향지각이 관광태도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 관광객은 긍정적 경제적, 사회문화적 관광영향지각, 부정적 사회문화적 관광영향지각이 관광태도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 지역민과 관광객의 양방향적 관광영향지각 및 관광태도 측정과 관광학적 측면의 젠트리피케이션이라 할 수 있는 투어리스티피케이션 이론에 기여하였다. 연구의 한계는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지역민과 관광객 양방향 척도에 대한 한계를 실감하였다. 둘째, 지역민 표본 수집에 있어 적은 모집단으로 인한 한계와 특정 연령대에 편중되었다는 점이다. 향후 연구에서는 양방향 척도 개발 및 보완, 연령대의 고른 표본 확보를 희망한다.

This study aimed to examine the disparities in perception regarding tourism impact and attitudes toward tourism between local residents and tourists, as well as exploring the relationship between the perception of tourism impact and attitudes toward tourism, with a focus on Ihwa Mural Village where tourism has been observed. The analysis yielded several findings. Firstly, there were differences observed between local residents and tourists in their perception of tourism impact across various variables, including economic, socio-cultural, and environmental impacts. Secondly, in terms of differences in tourism attitudes between the two groups, local residents exhibited relatively higher values compared to tourists, particularly in their support for transforming daily life into a tourist destination, indicating a notable distinction between them. Lastly, it was found that for local residents, the perception of positive social and cultural tourism impacts significantly influenced their attitudes toward tourism. On the other hand, for tourists, perceptions of positive economic and socio-cultural tourism impacts, as well as negative socio-cultural impacts, significantly influenced their attitudes toward tourism.​
