- Abstract
- Uncertainty occurs in the evaluation process of ballscrew nut stiffness through mathematical or experimental procedure. Monte Carlo Method (MCM) and GUM (Guide to the expression of uncertainty in measurement) have been used for analytical and experimental uncertainty analysis. In this paper, uncertainty estimation of ballscrew stiffness is conducted in several types of ballscrews. GUM results obtained from the improved test rig and MCM estimates verify validity of the improved stiffness estimation model including contact angle variation effect.
