- Abstract
- The response of the infinite beam supported by viscoelastic foundation has been studied when a moving harmonic load applied. The sound pressure radiated from the vibrating beam was obtained using the monopole sound radiation. Multiple harmonic moving loads was then considered for vibration and sound radiation analysis. The governing and characteristic equations were solved using complex Fourier transformation in conjunction with the residue theorem. Two types of the general poles were suggested to express the beam response along the transformed field domains of the time and moving space. The condition of the maximum beam deflection and resulting beam deforming shape was derived from which the critical velocity of moving load was obtained.
