녹색기술준비성과 녹색혁신이 기업의 지속가능성과에 미치는 영향

Abstract

기후위기에 대응하기 위한 이니셔티브들이 추진되고 녹색 전환을 위한 이해관계자들의 압력이 증가하면서 녹색 기술과 혁신은 위와 같은 변화에 대한 기업의 대응방안으로 주목받고 있다. 본 연구는 자원준거관점과 지식기반관점을 중심으로 기존 연구의 초점이었던 녹색혁신(green innovation)뿐만 아니라 녹색기술준비성(green technological readiness)이 기업의 지속가능성과에 미치는 영향을 탐구하였다. 기업의 지속가능성의 구성은 기존 문헌이 환경이나 재무적 성과에 초점을 맞춘 것에 더해 경쟁적 성과를 추가하여 살펴보았다. 구조방정식 모형을 채택하여 한국의 200개 제조기업을 대상으로 분석한 결과 녹색기술준비성과 녹색혁신은 모두 기업의 환경적, 재무적, 경쟁적 성과에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 실증적 분석의 결과는 자원준거관점에서 기업의 다양한 성과에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요인들을 설명하는 새로운 근거를 제공하고 있으며, 변화하는 최근의 시장 환경에서 기업이 녹색기술이나 혁신의 추진을 적극적으로 고려하여 높은 성과를 달성할 수 있다는 것을 시사하고 있다.

As initiatives to respond to the climate crisis are promoted and stakeholder pressure for green transition increases, both green technology and innovation attract attention for companies to respond to the above changes. Extending the existing study's focus on green innovation, this study aimed to explore the impact of green technological readiness on corporate sustainability while considering resource and knowledge based perspectives. Moreover, we constructed corporate sustainable performance by adding competitive performance to the existing literature focusing on environmental or financial performance. As a result of analyzing 200 Korean manufacturing companies using a structural equation model, we found that green technology readiness and green innovation positively impact environmental, financial, and competitive performance. The results of this empirical analysis provide a conduit for explaining factors that can affect various corporate performances from a resource-based perspective and enable companies to actively consider the promotion of green technology and innovation in the recent changing market environment.
