무용 작품 「Chapter 3:The Brutal Journey of The Heart」에 나타난 극장 미학의 표현 형식 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 샤론 에얄(Sharon Eyal)과 가이 베하르(Gai Behar)의 현대 무용 작품「Chapter 3: The Brutal Journey of The Heart」에서 극장미학의 표현 형식을 분석하고 그 결과와 논의를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 작품은 조명, 음악, 무대 디자인, 신체 표현 등 복합적인 예술 요소를 통해 관객의 정서적 몰입을 유도하고 서사적 구조를 강화하는 극장미학의 특성을 잘 보여준다. 본 연구는 세 장면(사랑의 시작, 관계의 갈등, 상실과 재생)으로 구성된 작품의 무용 동작과 무대 연출을 분석하고, 시각적 디자인과 감정 전달 방식이 어떻게 상호작용하는지를 규명하였다. 이를 통해 현대 무용에서 극장미학이 갖는 감정 표현의 역할과 예술적 의의를 조명하며 극장미학을 무용 창작에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 제시한다.

This study aims to analyze The expressive form of theater aesthetics in Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar's Contemporary dance Work Chapter 3: The Brutal Journey of The Heart, and present The result and discussion. This work shows the characteristics of theater aesthetics that induce the audi- ence's emotional immersion and strengthen the epic structure through a combination of artistic elements such as lighting, music, stage design, and physical expression. This study analyzed the dance movements and stage production of the work composed of three scenes (the beginning of love, conflict in relationships, loss and regeneration), and identified how visual design and emotional transmission interact. Through this, it sheds light on the role and artistic significance of the emotional expression of theater aesthetics in modern dance, and suggests the possibility of effec- tively applying theater aesthetics to dance creation.
