긱 워커(gig worker)의 경력개발에 관한 체계적 문헌고찰

Abstract

본 연구는 긱 워커(gig worker)가 경력개발 과정에서 직면하는 주요 제약 요인을 도출하고, 이에 따른 지원 방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 체계적 문헌분석을 실시하였고, 구체적으로 2025년 8월 ProQuest, RISS, DBpia, KISS에서 ‘gig’과 ‘career’를 키워드로 검색해 최종적으로 총 50편의 문헌(영문 39편, 국문 11편)을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 긱 워커의 경력개발을 제약하는 주요 요인으로 경력 성장 기회의 부족, 경력 정체성 형성의 어려움, 경력 네트워크 단절, 경력 이동성 제약, 경제적 불안정성이 도출되었다. 둘째, 긱 워커의 경력개발을 지원하기 위한 주요 방안으로 경력 네트워크 구축 및 멘토링 지원, 역량 개발 기회의 확대, 사회보장제도 및 법적 보호 강화 등이 도출되었다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 이론적·실천적 시사점과 향후 연구 방향을 제언하였다.

This study aims to systematically analyze research on the career development of gig workers by identifying the primary constraints they face and the interventions designed to support their career development. A systematic literature review was conducted by searching for the keywords “gig” and “career” in ProQuest, RISS, DBpia, and KISS in August 2025, resulting in the selection of 50 articles (39 in English and 11 in Korean). First, key barriers to gig workers’ career development were identified, including a lack of career growth opportunities, difficulties in forming a career identity, disconnection from career networks, limited career mobility, and economic insecurity. Second, interventions to support their career development were identified, including building career networks, providing mentoring programs, and expanding opportunities for skill development, and strengthening social security systems and legal protections. Based on these findings, the study discusses theoretical and practical implications and proposes avenues for future research.
