- Abstract
- Blood pressure is a vital indicator for cardiovascular diagnosis, and its continuous monitoring requires wearable devices. This study proposes a Doppler-based method to estimate radial arterial wall displacement, validated through Field II simulations and in vivo measurements using wearable CMUT and PZT-4 transducers. RF data were acquired at 50 ms intervals with a 62.5 MHz sampling rate, and displacement was estimated via the Loupas method. Results showed arterial diameters of 2.3–2.4 mm and wall displacements of 30–50 µm, consistent with reported values. The waveform reproduced systolic and diastolic phases as well as the dicrotic notch, while beam profile effects on estimation accuracy were limited.
