- Abstract
- This paper proposes a compensation method that uses an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) to estimate the oddorder harmonics in the input current of a bridgeless totem-pole power factor correction (BLTP-PFC) converter in real time and injects 180-degree phase-shifted harmonic currents to reduce the total harmonic distortion (THD). The proposed method estimates each harmonic component within one cycle of the fundamental frequency. Simulation results show that the proposed method achieves a 30.3% reduction in THD compared to the BLTP-PFC without harmonic current injections.
