가족관광에서 역할전환이 여행만족과 가족기능에 미치는 영향

Abstract

현대사회에서는 학업, 직장, 개인 활동의 증대로 가족 간의 정서적 교류가 감소하고 있다. 이러한 맥락에 서 가족 관광은 가족 간의 소통을 증진하고 상호작용을 촉진하는 매개체로 작용한다. 특히 부모를 동반한 성 인 자녀의 가족 관광은 새로운 사회문화적 현상으로 나타나고 있다. 본 연구는 가족 관광에서 성인 자녀가 경험하는 역할전환의 정서적 부모화, 도구적 부모화가 여행 만족을 매개로 가족기능의 응집성, 적응성에 미 치는 영향을 검증하고, 가족 의사소통의 조절효과를 실증적으로 검증하였다. 최근 1년 내 부모와 여행 경험 이 있는 만 19세 이상의 성인을 대상으로 설문을 실시하고 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 21.0 통계 패키지 프로그램 으로 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계 분석을 통해 측정 항목을 검증하였으며, 구조방정식 모형검증과 위계 적 회귀분석을 통해 가설을 검증하였다. 결과적으로 정서적 부모화는 여행 만족과 가족 응집성, 가족 적응성 에 모두 정의 영향을 미쳤으나, 도구적 부모화는 여행 만족, 가족 응집성, 가족 적응성에 통계적으로 유의하 지 않아 기각되었다. 또한 여행 만족은 가족 응집성과 가족 적응성 모두 정의 영향을 미쳤으며, 마지막으로 가족 의사소통의 조절 효과는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 본 연구는 가족학에서 다소 부정적인 요인으로 논의되던 역할전환을 정서적 부모화와 도구적 부모화로 세분화하여 여행 만족에 미치는 영향관계를 실증적 으로 분석하였으며, 여행 만족이 가족기능에 미치는 영향관계를 실증적으로 검증하였다. 연구의 시사점으로 는 가족 관광 맥락에서 역할전환에 대한 새로운 고찰과 가족 관광을 통한 가족기능의 개선 가능성을 제시하 였으며 정서적 상호작용을 촉진하는 상품 및 프로그램 설계를 제안하였다.

In modern society, emotional exchange among family members is decreasing due to the increase in academic, professional, and individual activities. In this context, family tourism serves as a medium to enhance communication and facilitate interaction within the family. In particular, family tourism involving adult children and their parents has emerged as a new socio-cultural phenomenon. This study examined whether adult children’s role reversal in family tourism influences family functioning through travel satisfaction, and tested the moderating role of family communication. Survey data were collected from adults who had traveled with their parents within the past year and analyzed using SEM and hierarchical regression (SPSS/AMOS). Emotional parentification positively predicted travel satisfaction and family cohesion/adaptability, whereas instrumental parentification showed no significant effects. Travel satisfaction also had positive effects on cohesion and adaptability, and the moderating effect of family communication was not supported. This study is significant in that it subdivided role reversal—often discussed as a negative factor in family studies—into emotional and instrumental parentification to empirically analyze their relationship with travel satisfaction and family functioning. The findings offer a new perspective on role reversal in the context of family tourism and suggest the potential for improving family functions through travel. Based on these results, the study proposes the design of tourism products and programs that facilitate emotional interaction.
