dc.description.abstractFor the manufacturing of the polymer based composite materials, the understanding of curing process during high temperature is very important to improve the productivity and manufacturing process. However, the curing behavior of thermoplastic composite material is still not well understood although the cure monitoring system for thermosetting composite material was developed in many ways. Therefore, in this study, the in-situ phase change monitoring system was devised which can measure the phase change of thermoplastic composite in real time during the manufacturing process. To investigate the phase change process of thermoplastic composite, changing of dissipation points were obtained by using the dielectric sensor. Based on result, the optimal phase changing process of glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite could be devised which has the reduced cur-ing time with better productivity.-
