dc.description.abstractIn this study, Numerical study on characteristic of combustion and emission of RCCI engines was conducted by using KIVA-3V Release3 code coupled with Chemkin chemistry solverⅡ. In order to calculate chemical kinetics of dual-fuel combustion, a reduced mechanism based on PRF mechanism using iso-octane and n-heptane as gasoline and diesel surrogate fuel was used. This mechanism is composed of 41 species and 130 reactions. And NOx was predicted by GRI mechanism and PM was predicted by 2-step phenomenological model. The numerical results agreed well with experiments results. This results show that this numerical study gives reliability for combustion predictions.-
