- Abstract
- A 60 GHz patch antenna array with parasitic elements for smart glasses is proposed. The antenna is composed of a patch antenna array with feedlines, parasitic elements, and a ground. The antenna has a fan-beam radiation pattern with simulated 3 dB and 10 dB beamwidths of 38.9 degrees and 142.9 degrees, respectively. To demonstrate the antenna performance in a practical wearable environment, the antenna characteristics were simulated on a 60 GHz head phantom. The electromagnetic exposure on the head phantom was verified using specific absorption rate and power density.
