아웃도어 레크리에이션 상황에서 기본심리욕구 만족 척도의 재구성

Abstract

본 연구는 아웃도어 레크리에이션이 대중화되는 상황 속에서, 여가 경험의 질적 향상과 지속성 확보의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 수행되었다. 이는 아웃도어 레크리에이션 참여자들이 자기결정적으로 동기화되는 경험을 할 때 해결될 수 있다. Deci and Ryan(1985)의 자기결정성이론에 의하면, 자기결정동기화는 인간의 기본심리욕구가 충족될 때 이루어지므로 기본심리욕구 만족 개념은 중요하다. 그러나 이제까지 여가 관련선행연구의 기본심리욕구 만족 개념은 야외 상황에 대한 고려 없이 기존의 척도가 사용되어왔다. 아웃도어 레크리에이션에서는 자연환경이 핵심적인 경험 요소이므로 자연교류욕구가 포함되도록 기존 척도를 재구성해야 할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 자연교류욕구를 추가하여 야외기본심리욕구 만족 척도를 재구성하고, 그 타당성을 검증하는 것이다. 야외기본심리욕구 만족 척도는 자기결정성이론을 기반으로 한 아웃도어 레크리에이션 관련 연구 수행 시 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

Recently, outdoor recreation has been popular in the leisure life. Following this trend, this study aimed to solve the problem of improving the quality of leisure experience and securing sustainability. This can be done when outdoor recreation participants have self-determined experience. According to Deci and Ryan (1985)" Self-Determinism Theory, self-determination experience occurs when the basic psychological needs of humans are satisfied; for this reason the concept is an issue of great importance. However, the basic psychological needs satisfaction scale in the previous leisure research has used the existing one without consideration of the outdoor situation. Since the natural environmental experience is essential in outdoor recreation, it is necessary to redefine the existing scale including nature related needs. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to reconstruct outdoor basic psychological needs satisfaction scale and verify it. This scale can be useful for the outdoor recreation research applying the Self-Determinism Theory.
