The purpose of this study is to examine whether of employer obligations for psychological contracts perceived by employees of the hotel industry lead to a positive change on Work Engagement and Subjective Well-being. To perform this empirical study, data were collected from the frontline staff at 12 five star hotels in Seoul through a self reporting questionnaire. The employer obligations that employees perceive as psychological contracts in relation to organization consist of four dimensions: job and career development, organizational policies, work–life balance, and rewards. As a result of the study, the work-life balance among the four items on the employer obligations did not show any influence on the work engagement or the subjective well-being. In order to change the positive attitude for job involvement and individual well—being, it is confirmed that the job and career development element is most important. Also, organizational policies had more influence on work engagement than rewards, while reward had more influence on subjective well– being than work engagement.-
