dc.description.abstractThis paper proposes the method of design of ultra-high-speed motor for electric turbo charger considering mechanical stiffness. When the motor rotates at a high speed, there exists stiffness on the rotor, which is proportional to the rotating speed. Therefore, a design considering the mechanical stiffness of rotor is proposed in this paper. First, ranges of rotor outer diameter is determined in accordance with their mechanical stiffness. Then rest of design variables are determined considering design specification. In this paper, a ultra-high speed motor design considering mechanical stiffness of rotor and electric specification is conducted.-
