Abstract
In this paper, we propose an efficient method that improves the performance of estimating interleaver period in a fading channel. To estimate interleaver period, we adopt probabilistic selection of the data having fewer errors in a fading channel and apply Kullback-Leibler divergence (KLD) to compare rank distributions. Through simulations, we present and analyze the estimation performances in terms of detection probability and false alarm probability.
