‘가능세계’와 팩션 서사

Abstract

In this study is researched into the narrative struktur and means of ‘faction'. In relation to this theme is discussed about narrative ’possible worlds’ theory. The neology ‘faction’ was made of the combination of ‘fact’ and ‘fiction’. That is a kind of artistic genre that create ‘new’ fact with athorial imagination addied to the as real deemed historical stories oder persons. Though ‘faction’ tells the fictional story, but that can evoke in some cases the readers more reality than in hiostorical presentation or text. The narrative ‘possible worlds’ theory that is argued under the scholars of ‘new’ narratology, premise that narrative text presents an alteranative world. In the perspective of theory of the narrative ‘possible worlds, the narrative worlds are classified the worlds as the ’actual world’(AW), the ‘textual actual world’(TAW) and the ‘textual referential world’(TRW). The actual world is the real world of out of text. The textual actual world is constituted from all elements or events described in the text. And there is a world which is refered by the textual actual world. That is just the textual referential world, namely the ‘possible worlds’. That is a world which can be infered from the textual actual world. To understand possible worlds in narrative Text, we should know the charcter and relationship of these three worlds. And from this we can grasp the feature and meanig of faction genre. The textual referential world in faction text will represent the real world, but that can be never realized. The textual referential world stays as the alternative world. But faction is regarded as a narrative form which makes textual referential world being in close vicinity to actual world. Faction searches for the truths which are suppressed and extincted by the formal historical texts. With this, faction attempts to get reality, though that stays only as possible world. This is the important point of faction and that distinguish between faction and other fictive forms of art.
