- Abstract
- This paper proposes a miniaturized log periodic dipole antenna (LPDA) with dual-polarization for electronic warfare applications. The broadband and high bore-sight gain characteristics are obtained by adjusting the lengths and spacings of the arms. The T-loaded structure is also employed at the end of each arm in order to miniaturize the antenna size. The proposed dual-polarized LPDA has a bore-sight gain of more than 3 dBi from 2 GHz to 6 GHz, where the maximum of 5.9 dBi is obtained at 4.2 GHz. The single log periodic antenna is then extended to an 8×8 slant array. © 2021 IEICE.
