- Abstract
- This study aim to discuss issues of global sustainability at the World Exposition is being realized, rather than individual buildings or design has been carried out to analyze the interrelationships in terms of the host city and on the macroscopic level. Initiated the concept of sustainability from environmental issues since the Rio Declaration, the 1998 Lisbon World Exposition from specifically revealed. Elements of sustainability, fair as an event for the development of the city as well as the transient effect through the use of sustainability in that the positive impact that the planning stage and implementation stage of the World Exposition, analysis, and results were analyzed. World Exposition planned by the strategy of the countries and cities because of urban residents through participation in the transition to the city facilities are insufficient. The relationship between the sustainability and the World Exposition, because the structure and image of the city as part of the city, which can be switched springboard is very important. Future cities from the perspective of ongoing research about the value of a World Exposition will be carried out.
