- Abstract
- 건축의 가벼움에 대한 욕구는 과거로부터 오늘날까지 끊임없이 이어졌다. 비릴리오가 “사라짐의 미학은 욕구로부터 시작 된다”고 한 것처럼, 가벼움에 대한 건축의 욕구는 사라짐의 미학과 연결될 때 질료적 자유로움을 넘어 모든 것의 잠재적 차원으로까지 연결됨이 가정된다. 본 연구는 오늘날 건축의 가벼움이 사라짐의 미학으로 해석 가능함을 전제하였다. 건축의 가벼움이란 건축의 잠재적 가능성을 지향하는 개념이다. 따라서 장누벨(Jean Nouvel)의 까르띠에재단이나 렘콜하스(Rem Koolhaas)의 시애틀중앙도서관 등의 사례들에서 나타나는 가벼움의 특징을 사라짐의 미학 즉 물질의 사라짐, 주체의 사라짐, 의미의 사라짐, 신체의 사라짐과 연결시켜 관련성을 분석하고 하고자 한다. 이를 통해 오늘날 테크놀로지 사회 현상으로서 사라짐의 미학이 건축에 미친 관계를 증명하는데 목적을 둔다.
