- Abstract
- At the era of knowledge and Information, the university libraries have been changing and keeping pace in this digital paradigm. So, this study investigate about the 'recently-built or newly remodelled' university libraries, and wanted to discuss about the characteristics and direction of changes in the spatial university library of the future. This study categorized the 'recent' classification system of the spacial use of the university libraries into the sector, area and unit space classification. Through the hierarchical classification, the sectors are divided into the sector of usage, sector of collection, sector for work, sector of culture & convenient facilities, and public. In case of 'sector of usage', there are three parts about adult reading area and utilizing information area, and area of academic research. Also for 'sector of collection', there are general material designations, brochures, reference designations, and electric information area. And for the sector for 'office administration' can be divided into two parts of area those are for office and administration. And for the sector for 'culture convenient facilities' can be divided into two parts of areat hose are for culture and convenient facilities. And for the last, 'public sector' are divided into space for ciculation area and ect.
