- Abstract
- In this study, we attempted to reduce firing voltages of ac-PDPs by alloying MgO electron emission material with CaO. MgO and CaO powders were mixed together and sintered at 1650°C for 10 hours under nitrogen atmosphere to prepare pellets. The electron emission layer was formed by evaporating the pellets using an electron-beam evaporator. Test panels with such alloyed MgO-CaO electron emission layer showed significantly reduced firing voltages.
