- Abstract
- A simple scattering model for radar backscattering from vegetated surfaces is developed based on the radiative transfer technique. The number of input parameters of the model is minimized to simplify the scattering model. The validity of the model is examined by comparison between the computation outputs and scatterometer measurements for the backscattering coefficients of green-onion (scallion) fields. ©2009 IEEE.
