- Abstract
- In this paper, a resonant slot array antenna of partial H-plane waveguide using inclined sidewall slots is proposed. The sidewall slots without edged sections in broad wall can be spaced by half a guided wavelength because the slots are embodied alternately in two sidewalls separated by a metal vane of partial H-plane waveguide having a phase difference of 180°. To design the array antenna, the dielectric filled sidewall slots with reduced resonant length are employed. Moreover, the cross section of the designed slot array antenna is reduced by 26% compared with that of conventional waveguide slot antenna. The simulated result shows that a partial H-plane slot antenna satisfies the desired return loss and radiation pattern at the operation frequency. © 2009 IEEE.
