Abstract
The house as spaces of life cannot be separated from furniture and electronic products inside it. The word frequently referred to as a “Living Design” is supposed to represent this social trend, showing that furniture interacts with electronic products in harmony. This movement has resulted from the fundamental human needs to improve the convenience and quality of life and we could easily see the consequences in the social issues of Well-being and Lohas. Riding on this trend, this study attempted to propose a convenience in life and effective space utilization by efficiently combining the function of furniture and electronic products that we are not accustomed to, based on the research and analysis on the correlation between furniture and electronic products in our living space. A focus was placed on the development of prototype through design development process by selecting two that are a wall-hanging type CD/DVD Rack+CD/DVD Player and stand type CD/DVD Rack+Lighting out of various items considering realistic conditions of partnership correlation. This study aims to analyze our ever changing living of life together with life pattern and to suggest the current position and future direction of living-related industries such as architecture and furniture, electronics and electrical appliances not just to do the research and development on the combination of furniture and electronics and electrical products. As well it is expected to contribute to the profit creation of the corresponding companies and the improvement of efficiency and convenience of living space for customers including residential environment.
