- Abstract
- The public space in this paper is limited to the openspace (the space is formed of structures) with the public of the third space. And the public spaces have indeterminacy, interaction, induction of an action, extension of a private an area. The spaces have the concept of intermediate space, so this study proposes representation of the Korean nature centering around the concept. In this paper, the Korean nature is defined as not keeping the tradition of the past but considering the present time and concluding our culture, our sense of value and so on. The public spaces based on korean space idea have a meaning of the space which is mediation of the communication between the nature and the person or you and me or the contemplative space; me and my second self. Noo is one of the traditional spaces which represent this relation. Noo formed of only intermediate space with the fewest structures is a perfect architecture. The space idea based on the analysis of the Noo and the specificity of the public space is an ambiguity of a boundary between the interior and the exterior, variability, continuity. the ambiguity gives feeling of opening and the space have a sustaining variation through the circulation of the nature. This research proposes these three concepts with design concept for representing the Korean nature of the public space. And I try to grope for making global of the korean space design as represting feeling of Korea applied to the digital technology of the day
