- Abstract
- Photo-alignment methods have image sticking problems, which can be a severe defect to achieve high reliability of LCD panels. It is caused by unreacted photosensitive functional groups. To deactivate those, we introduced interfacial reaction using ethanethiol or bromine and demonstrated transformation from C-C double bonds to C-S or C-Br using UV-vis, XPS, PEM and AFM images. © 2008 SID.
