Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the response difference on blood pressure (BP) and vascular compliance (VC) following aerobic exercise in middle-aged men. A total of 10 middle-aged male (40~50 ys) subjects volunteered for this investigation. They exercised 3 times (10 min, 20 min, 30 min) with a determined exercise intensity (60~70%HRmax). Then a resting period was 7 days. BP and VC were measured at resting condition before exercise and measured again when HR returned to resting status after exercise. The data were analyzed by a t-test, one way ANOVA, and a Scheffe at the .05 level of significance. The results were as follows; 1. SBP and DBP showed was significantly decreased dependent on time. Right and left leg compliance had a significant increase by groups and most increased at 30 min following the treadmill exercise. 2. There were significant differences at 30 mim in BP were decreased. After aerobic exercise, it decreased. They were increased at 20 min and 30 min after aerobic exercise in both legs.
