Abstract
The development of stimuli-sensitive release systems for protein and peptide delivery has been a subject of significant pharmaceutical importance in recent years, especially in relation to the possible development of intelligent delivery systems. In this review we concentrate on biological and chemical characteristics of these systems and we identify important guidelines as well as unsolved problems in this field.
