- Abstract
- 본 논문은 은행과 생명보험회사간 방카슈랑스 모의 합병을 실시하여 겸업 전후의 비용, 수익 및 이익 효율성을 분석함으로써 금융겸업화가 금융산업 전체의 효율성에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고, 금융기관의 겸업화 전략을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 겸업 전후 효율성 증감은 층화프론티어 방법을 사용하여 측정하였으며, 분석결과 보험회사의 경우 외국보험회사와 중소형보험회사는 방카슈랑스를 통해 비용 및 이익효율성을 향상시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났으나 수익효율성은 감소하는 것으로 분석되었다. 대형보험회사의 경우는 비용효율성은 증가시킬 수 있으나 수익 및 이익효율성은 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 은행의 경우 보험회사에 대한 소비자의 인지도나 상품포트폴리오를 고려할 때 방카슈랑스 파트너로 대형보험회사를 선택하는 것이 수익 및 이익효율성 측면에서 바람직한 것으로 나타났으나, 시중은행이 중소형보험회사를 방카슈랑스 파트너로 택할 경우 수익효율성은 증가하나 이익효율성은 감소하는 것으로 분석되었다.
