- Abstract
- ‘정신착란증의 뉴욕’은 단순한 건축 역사서가 아닌, 초현실주의와 맨해튼의 역사를 평행적으로 다루고 있는 이중적 구성을 가진 책이다. 초현실주의의 용어와 방법들(의식, 무의식, 욕망, 편집증, 자동기술, 진기한 시체 등)이 전체의 구성을 이끌어간다. 여러 개념 중 콜하스는 달리의 초현실주의적 방법인 편집증적 비평 방법에 대해서 5장에서 자세히 서술하고 있다. 본 논문은 초현실주의의 여러 가지 용어와 방법에 대해서 분석하고, 구체적으로 초현실주의의 방법이 ‘광기의 뉴욕’에서 맨해튼의 도시 현상들과 어떻게 연관되고 적용되는지 분석한다.
