- Abstract
- Currently there are many commercial XML data management systems available. Most of these products are based on the traditional database management systems such as relational/object-oriented systems. Recently, some native XML data management systems are introduced. However, the previous XML repository structures are based on disk, it is inefficient to support real-time and mobile applications effectively. Hence, in this paper, we design a main memory-based XML repository structure to support real-time applications efficiently. To store and manage XML documents in native format, we design a logical data model for XML document. And we design a repository structure at physical level based on this logical model and finally implement the proposed repository structure.
