Abstract
The expected service life of steel-reinforced concrete structures is severely shortened due to the environmental pollutions, the aging of concrete, corrosion of steel reinforcement, etc. Nowadays, the repair or retrofit of concrete structures, then, becomes one of the most important problems. In this paper, we introduced the retrofitting method of concrete structures by using FRP grids and polymer mortar. The strengthening effect of FRP grids on concrete structures was verified by reviewing the experimental investigation on concrete beams reinforced with FRP grids. The field applications of the retrofitting method were also illustrated.
